Police Authority
Joe joined the Leicestershire Police Authority in June 2009 and his term lasts for 4 years.
The Police Authority works with the Chief Constable and has a legal responsibility to ensure that the police service is effective and efficient, by securing Best Value. The Authority also has to approve and monitor the annual budget, make sure that effective arrangements are in place to consult local communities about policing, monitor policing services and, in liaison with the Chief Constable, issue the Annual Policing Plan.
Joe sits on the Human Resources Committee, the Professional Standards Committee, the Diversity Panel, the Awards Panel and the Remuneration Committee.
