Melton Borough Council
Joe was first elected to Melton Borough Council in 2003 to represent the Melton Sysonby Ward. He progressed to become Deputy Leader of the council from 2004 to 2009 and was also Chairman of the Licensing Committee from 2005 to 2008.
In the last MBC Elections 2007 Joe topped the Poll with 791 votes as one of the three successful Conservative candidates to represent Sysonby Ward for a further four years.Joe has put a lot of time and effort into his Borough Council work and has been responsible for many new positive initiatives on the Fairmead Estate. Joe also regularly supports the Springfield Residents Association at their meetings which are held every six weeks at their own local community centre.
Joe present responsibilities with the MBC are on the Policy, Finance & Administration Committee, Chairman of the Efficiency Task Group, Lead Member for Neighbourhood Priority Areas and Efficiencies/ Gershon/ Value for Money.
